This is our list of most of the accomplishments from the 2015-2016 School Year:

• Gave $500 to each of the 6 teachers who are working on their National Board Certification

• Organized Family Nights to strengthen our community – Multicultural Night, Lawton Gives Back Night,  Art, Lunar New Year, Innovation Night

• Hosted a great teachers’ luncheon for 60 staff members, and gave over $300 in prizes

• Planned and organized parking lot fundraising events – fundraising potential of $10-15K

• Increased membership to 210 members

• Almost 100% membership participation from teachers and administrative staff

• Created online format and delivery for our newsletter to decrease amount of paper use

• Provided childcare and dinner for PTA meetings

• Offered thank-you gifts to volunteers for helping with Welcome Back BBQ, Parking Lot Fundraisers, and Carnival

• Created Volunteer(s) of the Month program to spotlight our PTA volunteers

• Provided $6K to purchase new 4th Grade classroom furniture

• Gave $4K to purchase new pottery kiln

• Gave $2K to purchase AED machines and accompanying training

• Donated $10K to cover the budget gap for Lawton to pay for technology teacher, art, and music and supplies

• Provided grade-level funding to teachers at $25 per student

• Gave $6-per-student stipends to teachers

• Paid $12K to fund Education Outside program (2016-17 school year will be $17.5K)

• Funded copiers for learning materials and homework

• Funded field trips

• Provided funding for Hip Hop Dance education program

• Funded lunchtime Yoga and Mindfulness for students

• Hosted 3 incoming Kindergarten playdates to welcome new families
